Additionally...if you want to make a traditional balsamic vinegar, then you will need 7 barrels of different wood and all progressively smaller...moving some of the vinegar from a larger to a smaller barrel annually until you reach barrel 7...then store somewhere for another 5 years before the first taste test....or you could just buy some!
ahhh...excellent! No, they shed. Tony changes the most - his winter coat is like wire brushes and his summer one is super soft and cuddly. Marilyn stays almost the same, but shorter, and Brunhilda loses it all except for a pretty pronounced mohican, or rhodesian ridgeback-look all down her spine. Actually, this year they all have a bit of that going on. While they are transitioning, I sometimes get the girls mixed up!
Thank you. It's getting desperate. There is a thunderstorm due tonight, with 90% certainty. I gotta say, my weather head says it's not happening at the moment.

It's crazy, isn't it? I would love to make it, but I mean, seriously? :) Maybe I'll start with regular vinegar !
Did you shave the pigs or do they just naturally lose their winter coats?

Not a drop. We've had extreme weather warnings in place for the last three days. Yesterday, they were going on about a potential 40mm. Nothing.
