Lovely to read of the changing seasons. The snuggle into Autumn is my favourite time of year. It is a very warm spring here in NZ and I’m hurrying my brassicas along so I can eat them and make room for my tomatoes. Got any old corrugated iron for your wood shed roof? It seems to multiply in old properties down under… Good luck Ben!
I live in a very rural part of Germany, and everyone here hoards anything of use. I have no doubt that every second farmhouse around here has a pile of corrugated iron lying around for when it comes in useful one day (actually, it's just as likely to be asbestos!), but none freely available. I find that in cities, you can almost anything you need from the street. Around here, not so much!
Good luck with the brassicas! I tend to leave mine in the ground for the whole growing season - I should learn more about rotations in the south!
Goodness don’t start a woodchopping TikTok. Unless you have a white vest and braces and change your surname to a marvel character. I believe Thor is taken but green giant (Hulk) could work. In which case fill your boots. But do watch out for the lusty ladies of TikTok, I hear they are quite terrifying.
I have an idea how to do it a little differently from other TikTok woodchoppers. But my very ancient gorilla tripod has finally given up the ghost, so it looks like you are spared after all!
