The Family Hoyle can probably be persuaded to do a then and now. Insider reporting on barracks adventuring, and growth of the fruit trees and whether we were persuaded to use the new composting toilet… etc.
Best try a good green tomato chutney recipe- you can’t go and poison yourself! Highly recommend salting for 24 hours prior to cooking too. Have sent via Insta message :)
Also- comfrey tea (and swathes of said plant growing amongst veg and fruit trees) is amazing. If smelly: but so so good for the soil. I mulch first with lawnmower then chuck in a barrel with a lid for a few weeks then pour with abandon ( then rush for a shower…)
I do have people here sometimes. This year, it's on a "self catering, donation to the piggies" basis. Next year, it's going to be a bit more organised. Hopefully :)

Love your blog posts! You're very inspiring :).
Please do write a blog post about the Channel 4 program. Also please ask Mamma Hoyle to write one too.
Am I right in thinking you can come visit and stay with you? For a few obviously x

Love the update...
1) I'm interested in the Channel 4 program (either publicly here or in a private message)
2) I'm interested in the Hoyle update - I think it would be interesting to gain a perspective 3 years on...
3) Nettle Tea for nitrogen boost? - I could use a tutorial...
Peace to the Pirate...and yes, do not die - life (with all its faults) is exhilarating and full of surprises...
(do not die - yes. The alternative is worse)
I'll probably do a blog post on the Channel 4, and I might ask the Hoyles if they want to do a newsletter take over next week?
