In Scotland (Fife to be precise) the last frost looks to be the last week in April. This is good to know because I moved house last year and need to do something with the garden. What that ‘something’ looks like is unknown as of yet 😂
Wow.. that is loads earlier than here. Yet, you're 750km further north! I guess that must be the Torness power station keeping the Forth nice and warm for you :D
Oh hey! I’m new to gardening and I had no idea that I needed to think about last frost. I was considering planting some seeds on our balcony this week (South American cucumber-like mini melons, and Kapuzinerkresse) and now I’ve learned how to anchor my sowing :)
Turns out (as I have already intuited from reading your posts these last couple years) that Berlin is a month shifted from your zone when it comes to Last Frost, as illustrated on this handy map:
This just reminds me of something… if you can’t find the answer to a question - even after an extensive internet search - simply go on to social media and tell the world that you know the fact you’re looking is X (X being something you know is incorrect) and within minutes, several people will have corrected you with the right answer.
Definitely 15. May when "kalte Sophie" comes and goes...

OMG. You're right, I am a full month behind Berlin! Good work on the staggered sowing. Food gardening is basically wait-wait-wait-panic.
St Pancras. Just sayin’.
;)
Wait… how’d that happen?! That *definitely* said St Pancreas when I first read it… 🤨
heh... it will still say Pancreas on your email. I got autocorrected :)
If you wiz done up like a kipper by autocarrot, then Ill let you off. 😉
I mean, I did. But I'd like to say that it's an easter egg for my fave mad London Scotsman pedant as well :)
