That’s a very posh pig house! You sounded like Winnie the Pooh stomping around! Xx

The presence of wild pigs could be a problem if they decide to help themselves to all that is yours...hang on, that feels like a most-modern day metaphor. 🤔

World Ice Swimming championships? Who knew - but I'm seriously impressed with all of the competitors in that sport - kudos to your cousin!

Sorry about the doomer vibe coming from me this morning, but it does feel like societal collapse is currently on a hypersonic pace, which reminds me, I should remind myself that happiness is the reward that ensues when we do something meaningful... Right then, off I go to pursue something meaningful!

For some reason, neither side seems to be remotely interested in the other.

All things are metaphors for collapse, because collapse is all things. It's normal :)

Ben’s post…it must be Monday. I had to look up the meaning of didacticism, I don’t think I’ve come across it before. Everyday’s a school day 🤔🌞🤔

I love it when I can trace a word back to the first time I ever heard it. I learned "didactic" from a Czech teacher of Economics at my secondary school. I can't remember his name. It began with an H, I think. He had been Offstedded (or whatever the equivalent body responsible for appraising teachers was back then). In his thick Czech accent, he was complaining to another teacher that he had been marked down for being excessively didactic in his lessons. "I did not know this word. I had to look it up. It means 'teaching'. I do not understand"

We called him "Dave". Not to his face, of course. I don't think this was his name either.
