You write so beautifully Ben. Sending you summer warmth and wishes for better days without naughty pig escapes. Minus 16 sounds full on! Take care of yourself. Winter is dark for many reasons x
Thank you Charlie for all of that. So far, I have managed to avoid any really bad seasonal depression. Or at least, anything that's gotten to me has had a clear and obvious source, which is easier to handle than the ones which are nothing but your mind playing tricks. And, it's the end of January! Already! Feb can be majorly shitty, and winter isn't fully over until well into April, but March will have some days of actual warmth and actual gardening. We're nearly there! I mean, those of us in the northern hemisphere! I hope your summer is glorious!
Well hang in there mate- and keep writing those descriptions of the sky. Very beautiful indeed. As for our weather climate change is busily flooding Auckland and making it as humid as the tropics in Wellington. 29 degrees today for second day in a row which is very unusual. Rock on La Niña! Only glad I paid my insurance premium in one big 25% increase hit last month…. Take care x
Oh flip! I am a wazzack. I had just been reading about the rains. It sounds biblical. Are we on for yet another La Niña? I thought we might be heading to an El Niño this year. What are the implications for each in NZ? Stay safe!
"They run away, get lost and stressed, and are super happy to be back in their warm house with their warm food. And then they forget, escape, and get lost again." This could very well be a metaphor for my life...
Love the voiceover!
Thanks Mike, and welcome to the newsletter!
