KW-50 The weather always looks worse through a window.
It's not what you do, it's the way that you do it.
I guess the most important update is that Ozzy and Geezer will not be coming to the barracks just yet. I just don’t have the time to build them a rooster house right now. And if I did have the time, The Barracks is as of this morning, still covered in a good 10 - 15cm of the fresh white stuff. This doesn’t make it impossible to build, but it does make it far more likely difficult to make a decent base, and without a decent base, I can’t guarantee fox-proofness.
The current humans with the roosters have agreed to keep them until the spring. So, at least they have a stay of execution for now.
I spent most of this week working in the woodshop. It’s chilly in there.
I’m going to spend most of next week working in the woodshop. Being chilly again, no doubt.
It’s slightly frustrating. I have all the tools you need to make basic, useful stuff. Every time I want to stretch into something actually pretty, or just slightly less boxy and functional, there is a twinge of frustration that I don’t have a lathe or a bandsaw or even a decent press drill. Ahh well. It really is possible to do most stuff with just a table saw.
This week:
Continue working on the Compost Throne (see picture above) …
… whilst improving the wood shop
I have to get to the local town to buy a drill bit. It’s getting silly now.
Thank you all for being here!
