Last week, Monday, I managed to get most of the rest of the beans inside - they aren’t as destroyed as I feared, but there is no way they are going to dry. Dried beans are the standard, but baked beans are the best. So I baked them. I didn’t take a photo, but I will do. And no doubt, I’ll put it on Instagram, so look out there.
On Tuesday, it started to rain. I believe that Wednesday night, between about 4am and 6am it stopped for a while, but other than that, it rained all the way until Saturday.
I did finish assembly of the second side of the Pig Field fence though. It’s not finished, it needs to be prettied up a bit, but we’ll take any positives these days
I didn’t get to harvest the sugar beet, but I guess it’s just been rained on for another week. Maybe it got bigger. (Sugar beet grows really slowly… )
This week, I am keeping ambitions small
Harvest the sugar beet, clean it, store it
Get the rest of the beans
Harvest and store maybe 1/4 of the parsnips
Bring all the round wood inside. I know which wood I mean
Check and fix all panes of glass in the loft.
Move the electric fence to get the piggies in the Pig Field complete
Now I see it like that, it’s quite a lot.
