So far, I have around 20 subscribers on this here list. That is you. Thank you for being my test subjects. I wanted to figure out if this was the sort of thing that I wanted to do, to see how it fits in with everything else, and to make sure that I understood the software.
It’s not difficult software at all, but it is far from perfect. Imperfect (web) software is defined by”how easy is it for the user to fuck up”. This week, I sent out a couple of updates without triggering the email, and I completely lost one more. I still haven’t found it.
At the end of this week, I’ll be advertising this on my Instagram, so hopefully that will see a whole load of new subscribers. I had better have figured it the software out by then!
Work for this week:
Monday morning. Get up early. Cancel the Substack Blast I wrote last night to be sent out this morning. It’s all wrong.
We had a mild frost two nights ago, and a hard one tonight. One frost at the start of October, and perhaps I can recover. Two in a row, and everything is dead.
The rest of the week: Try to save as much from the plots as possible. I took the sunflowers, sorghum and sweetcorn in over the weekend. This all needs separating and a mountain of beans need to come in and dry. I’ll write more about this later.
By the afternoon, it’s going to be lovely warm. The Golden October they were promising us. Here’s hoping for no more minus-six starts like today.
